Cell Phone Policy for Students

According to OCPS and Liberty Middle School policy a student may possess a cell phone on school property, at after school activities, and at school-related functions, provided that during school hours and on a school bus, the cell phone remains off and is concealed. Possession of a cell phone by a student is a privilege. Violations of this policy may result in confiscation of the cell phone and/or other disciplinary actions.

The parent/guardian will make arrangements to pick up the cell phone from the school.

At no time shall Orange County Public Schools be responsible for the theft, loss or damage to cell phones or other electronic devices brought onto its property.

Other Electronic Devices

Any electronic device, including attachments such as ear phones, which disrupt the learning environment and is not concealed, may also be confiscated and the parent / guardian will make arrangements to pick up the device from the school.
